The GBA version seems much easier. If I’m remembering correctly in the NES game your attacks don’t switch to a different enemy once they’re dead. So if make your entire party attack the same Goblin and the first character kills it then the rest of your attacks are cancelled out and it’s the enemies turn. It really is a backwards system compared to what we have these days.]]>
I hooked up my Wii today to play a bit of Super Mario Galaxy because I was filling out a survey on Club Nintendo about it for some coins. After I was done with that I decided to give No More Heroes a try. I like the combat except for toggling the “High / Low” attacks with the IR pointer. It’s not a great set up when things get hairy. I’ve only finished a couple missions so far so we’ll see what I think after I get a little farther in the game.]]>
Dragon’s Curse (TG16) on the other hand got some play time because someone wanted to buy my copy and I figured I have one last go at it before it was gone. I put in about 2 hours of play time before calling it quits. It’s not bad for its age but it was a bit too old school even for me. It makes me wonder how much I’ll like the Monster World: Complete Collection (PS2/JPN) I have sitting on my shelf, seeing as it’s the same series.]]>
Well I’m still on the 6th floor. I’ve managed to clear out most of the harder monsters but it’s been a time consuming task. I can only fight one or two of them each trip to the dungeon. So I’ve spend the rest of my time level grinding until dark or if absolutely necessary going to the inn to “sleep” or “nap”. I’ll be glad when I’m finally done with this floor as it feels like the game did when I first started it, hard as nails.]]>
I’ve been played this game for a couple of weeks now although this is the first time I’ve gotten a chance to play to it this week. I’m on the 6th floor right now and there are “boss” monsters everywhere. I keep running around filling in what I can of the map but I’m almost to the point where I can’t fill in anymore without a fight.
Although I did kill one of them but it took me a couple of tries because I kept losing one of my party members during the battle. I’ll probably try leveling up my party to a bit before I go charging back in.]]>
This site is just a personal “diary” of sorts about the games I’m currently playing. As well as other gaming related stuff I think is note worthy. Thanks for stopping by!]]>
